Insurance Information
In order to facilitate payment of services provided to you, we require that you bring your insurance card(s) with you to your appointment. If you choose to bring a copy of the card(s), be sure that you have copied both sides of each card. This will ensure that your claim is properly filed by our office. Please call our billing department at 719-477-1033 should you have any insurance or account questions.
On the date of your appointment, we are required by your insurance company to collect any co-pay for that date of service and any deductible and co-insurances that your insurance states are due from you.
Like any organization, once we provide you medical care/testing we require your assistance with prompt payment. Colorado Springs Vascular extends to you {our patient} the courtesy of billing your insurance(s). It is critical that you ensure that we have the correct information in order to ensure we receive timely payment. If incorrect information is not provided you will be responsible for the full amount of the bill if it is denied by your insurance carrier for untimely filing. If your claim is not paid by your carrier within the industry standard [21 to 45 days], we will inform you in order that you can encourage payment. Unless you have a secondary insurance, we will transfer balances to you. We need your assistance in ensuring that your insurance carrier pays timely and accurately. Since you own the policy, your carrier generally will more responsive to you.
